The Zoo, Cooking, and The Garden

Our garden is going crazy! Unfortunately, so are the weeds. I will get to them...someday right? Probably in the fall when we burn everything out there! But our actual plants are doing so great! Our pumpkins are huge and have little buds on them. Our tomato plants are double the size they were when we bought them and are loaded with tomatoes! Our corn is almost as tall as Jacob is. Hooray, we have corn this year!! And we took Ethan to the zoo with us on Monday. It was so fun, but hot! We didn't stay long, but here are the pictures I go from the zoo.

The otter came to say hi to us. It was after everyone left except us! Lucky us! It was pretty neat.

Jacob helped me make a dessert the other day. I won this apron from a giveaway and think it is so cute! He loved it!

My transplant is finally blooming. I LOVE the vibrant color of these!

My lavender....mmmm...it smells so good!

Peaches come to mind. They look like peaches to me.

Our actual peach tree. It has doubled in size.

Our huge tomato plants

Our 4 pumpkin plants. The 2 in the back are regular size pumpkins we did last year. The two in the front are MAX pumpkins. They are supposed to get huge. And judging from the leaf sizes, I don't doubt it.

The wonderful corn!

What fun plants! I've heard that if you pick all the weeds and then use Preen in your garden it works really well at keeping the weeds down. It's safe to use around plants and you can get it at Walmart. Good luck!
