Snow, Snow Go Away!

Usually I am okay with the snow. It's Idaho, we are going to get snow. However, when it ruins my garage and storage space I want to move to a very warm place!! Our gutters were very poorly done, as was the extra room off of our garage. The slope wasn't a steep enough grade on top and so the ice and snow sat there and ruined the roof. It rotted the wood and walls in our storage. Luckily it was found soon enough that we got all of our stuff out of there before it was destroyed (save one or two items). We unfortunately have to tear it down. Good thing that our garage itself has enough space for storage. Here are some wonderful pictures of the damage. And then if you keep reading, there are wonderful pictures of the snow ACTUALLY melting and Jacob playing outside!! Enjoy!
This is our ceiling that got so soggy from the water seeping in that it collapsed.

All of those walls are soaking wet. That is not their natural brown color, those are all wet. It's hard to see it.

Straight ahead is the gutter. The rest is iced over and then from there runs down the walls and to the floor of our room.

Enough of the depressing stuff. Here are some of the recent updates in our family!
My adorable nephew Ethan! I could just squeeze him!! He so stinkin' cute!

Jacob watching the Cars 2 preview over and over and over!

Playing outside...finally!! We need this nice weather really bad. We are getting cabin fever and need outside. Jacob's our little soccer player all of the sudden. He's pretty good too!

A detour. He found a shovel that was left outside. As he was flinging mud, I said "Don't play in the dirt please!" and he said "Mommy, it isn't dirt! It's mud!" and kept playing. Little stinker!

Determination!

My little stud!

Sorry about the roof troubles, that's really stinks. I'm really hating the snow too!! I day dream about taking a giant blow dryer and killing it. At least it's finally going away! I laughed at the picture of Jacob watching the Cars2 trailer: Malcom could watch that all day too. What is it with boys and cars?! I guess that's better than them wanting to watch the barbie movies or something. Haha! Good luck with roof!!
