We moved into our house in a little town I never thought I'd live. I lived in Idaho Falls my entire life, and driving back and forth from school I would always pass the little dinky town of Ucon and think "wow, how is that even considered a town? There's more cows than people there!" But, little did I know how great and fantastic it is! There is way more than meets the eye. One of the people in our ward said something that is so true about our little town. It isn't the town that is great. Because on the outside, it's kind of dumpy. It is the people that make it so great. How true is that!? The people are so nice here and genuine. We love it here and plan to stay a while! It doesn't feel like 1 year ago. We have done so much to the house (we, as in in Joe, I just stand by and watch him do all the hard work!) We have redone our upstairs bathroom, added a walk in closet, added a larger front hall closet, put in a new furnace (thank goodness Joe knows what he's doing and knows how to get a great one at discounted prices!), insulated the freezing room downstairs, and so much more. Believe me, when Joe is sitting really quiet, I know that he is thinking what he can tear down next!! We have loved the year we have been here!

Hi Val!
I can't believe you have been there a year either! You definitely have a handy-man, isn't it wonderful! I love your home, it's very cozy and warm...:0)
I felt the same way about Wapello as you do about Ucon. It's the people that make it wonderful, not the town. I'm so glad you are happy there, I know that you, Joe will love raising your family there, and are a wonderful addition to the community.
Can you believe that summer is almost over? Enjoy what's left! Love you!
It is crazy to think it has already been a year. Jacob is so stinkin cute! time really flies! enjoy all your precious moments!!!
Love you guys!
