Our Busy Summer

I feel like this summer has been so much busier then any other one that we have had. We have been having so much fun this year and have enjoyed playing outside in our very own backyard!! I love it! Everytime I get around to blogging, it feels like we have done so much. So, it ends up more or less in a list form. So enjoy!!

~Huckleberry picking! YUM!! Jacob loves them as much as I do. He sits at the fridge and eats out of the berry bowl.
~Weddings. Tis the season! This is a gift I made for my friends wedding. I got the idea from The Creative Crate Blog. You can find her blog on my craft blog list.

~Renovations-Luckily it is almost done. In the picture it is about half way. But all we have left now is the crown molding around everything and putting doors and shelves up!!! SO EXCITED!

~Sleeping in! Jacob has a sixth sense for when Joe leaves early to work. Everytime he does, Jacob gets out of bed and gets into our bed with me. And without fail, manages to kick me out of my own bed. Such a doll!

~Ucon FOunders Day. It was the celebration of the 99th year Ucon has been a city. They had a huge carnival type celebration and we had a blast!! They had a "Train ride", a bunch of little car type things attached to each other and pulled around by a 4-wheeler. Jacob still wants to ride it. He asks us everyday when he gets up if he gets to ride the train again!! Here are a couple of pictures from the event!

Jacob loved the chickens and refused to go near the horse or the little tiny ponies. Crazy kid!

This is the jumping place. We waited for like 30 minutes to get on this. Kids kept cutting us and cutting us until we were like dead last of a very long line. one lady even walked her kids up to the front of the line during the switch and said okay, get in. Made us so mad. WHat kind of a parent teaches their children that cutting is okay?? But, luckily, I have a husband who doesn't tolerate annoying kids that cut. So Joe took all the little kids and put them back to where they were. The bunch of girls that cut them looked at Joe and the kids with disgusted looks and were about to say something and then realized...I can't say anything, we cut them. SO they just glared at them. THanks Joe!! It cut about 30 minutes off of our wait time.

Love this picture!
