Say What?!

So, part of being a chorister in primary is that I go down to nursery to do a little singing time with them. This last week, I went down as usual. There was a sub in there. The mean one. She yells at any kid that is laughing. She isn't very nice. But anyway, we were singing "Hinges". As we are doing the "I'm hinges in front" you bend forward. Jacob was standing beside me and she was beside him. (Just to put you were we were at at the time). Jacob comes up and flings his arms and it hits my primary song book. Them "mean lady" snaps and says "Hey, knock it off!" to Jacob. I turned to her with what I'm sure was the motherly look of death and she realized where she had gone wrong. She just yelled at my son. Oops. She looks at me with the "please don't do anything to me" look. She bends over and says "oh are you okay?" Nice cover. Watch it. Maybe this will give you a little laugh visualizing it, or perhaps it will give you flash backs to your own nightmare nursery leader. But luckily for us, we regularly have the 2 best ladies in there with Jacob. So no worries about the coming Sundays! Enjoy the story!

Yikes!! She sounds like a nightmare. You handled it well though, we should never waste our anger on someone like that, we get mad, they win. You let her know you were were the bigger person, by not reacting the way she expected you to, and Jacob will always be the winner! Love you

W-O-W, I really wonder why some people are so cranky. That is so funny though. Trying to cover it up by asking if he was ok. hahaha. And what wierd kids of hers. Maybe she should worry about them instead of yelling at everyone elses. Love, Laura

I am so sorry. Mean people stink. And Barb is right, you are the bigger person. I am so glad the nice ladies are there more. Give Jacob a kiss for me. Love you.

Yes I totally understand! We have had some less than thrilling experiences with some of the nursery subs. That's the one thing we're not looking forward to with moving...training new nursery leaders.

I can only imagine how angry you were!!! Although the gramma look of death is pretty bad to I think the mom look of death is a lot worse!!! I just think that when people get like that they need to not accept callings that involve children!!! I think that way about nurses to!! When you stop having compassion its time to change jobs. I know I wanted my children to enjoy nursery so they would be excited about primary
