Jacob is 21 Months Old

...and finally doing good in nursery. He only cries for a few minutes now. He is starting to love it and play with other kids. However, I went to see if Joe had gotten him after classes were over and he had. But the leader said he did really good "but...I'm sorry. I didn't see it in time. An agressive little boy was clawing his face. He has scratches under his eye. It looked like he was going to get his eye clawed out". Wow. But Jacob is just so easy going and not aggressive that he didn't do anything back. He does have some scratches under his eye but they are getting better.
I can't believe how much Jacob learns each day. Here is another list for the blog. Things that Jacob loves, hates, or does at 21 months.
  • still LOVES Barney (or in the words of Jacob, Boo-doon)
  • mimicks everything people say
  • does things to get a rise out of his mommy. If I say "Sick Jacob, stop picking your nose!" he will do it every time I look at him because he thinks he is hilarious.
  • in true Joe fashion, Jacob doesn't enjoy drinking water. He will if he knows he won't get anything else.
  • He pushes anything with wheels. Just ask Brian and Dayna. Whenever we go over there, out Jacob comes with their grocery cart.
  • LOVES, I mean LOVES football or any sport with a ball in it. If he even hears anything that sounds like a game, he perks up and yells "A BAW" or "GO GO GO GO". You think he has ever been around anyone watching a game before?
  • Says please AND thank you now. Before it was just please.
  • Loves food.
  • If he is hungry, he says a bre-fus. Meaning breakfast, but it is really just meaning he wants to eat.
  • He hops everywhere.
  • Loves animals from far away, but is scared of them upclose. Except Spencer, my parents big, fat cat. He loves to torture and pester the one animal that could sit on his face and suffocate him. Oh, Jacob.
  • Loves to give hugs and kisses.
  • If Joe is playing with him, Jacob will instigate something, like putting his fingers in Joe's mouth. As soon as he does this, he looks at me and says "mom, mom, mom!" He is totally tattling on Joe. I think it is hilarious! Where does he learn this stuff.
  • he copies his dad in everything
  • When we are taking his picture and tell him to smile, he says "chiz"
  • grinds his teeth.
  • he loves to pray and loves Jesus. Anytime he sees a picture of Christ, he yells out "A JESUS!" He gets so excited. Maybe we are instilling good things in him. Also, during prayers, if one of isn't shutting our eyes, he points to us says 'pay'.

Anywho, that is a gist of what Jacob is up to now. Hope you enjoy! I would upload a picture but it isn't letting me right now. I will later, I promise.

Val! Oh, it sounds like Jacob's growing up so fast. I can't believe it. I'm sure he's absolutely going to love Christmas this year!- Especially if a car or a ball is involve... but then again, what boy doesn't get excited with those. :D
