I am thankful for...

our great country. We live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Who could ask for a more excellent place to be? I may not agree with some of the politics running this country or some of the people, but it doesn't change the fact that I can walk around freely without having to worry about anything. How great is it that I can do what I please when I please. It just amazes me the people that are always complaining about our country and how others are so much better. My opinion on that...leave. If they don't like this God-given land that they are so blessed to have, then they can go and live where they think it is so much better. It baffles me when I think of how America came to be. I was reading somewhere where I think President Thomas S. Monson (I could be totally wrong, and if you know the source let me know!) said that the founding fathers were raised up for the very purpose of creating this country under the direction of our Heavenly Father. WOW!! What more can you say to that!? Enough of the rant, but I really am so thankful for everything and all the blessings that this free country provides.

Val, I am so thankful for this country. I am so thankful for the men and women in the service that have fought to keep it free. I have seen some of the things that happen to these men and women when they are home and I can tell you we have freedoms thanks to them but they came at a high cost to some....they were not free!!! So along with being thankful for our country I add the men and women who fought and continue to fight to keep it free.
