The Joys of Over Energetic Little Boys

If there is one thing Jacob knows for sure, it is that he cannot get on the computer. He has an awesome talent of breaking things he touches. He broke our nice camera and several times locked us out of the computer. But he is still determined to get on it. So, two nights ago, he was trying to sneak on Joe's lap by crawling under the desk among the many cords and subwoofer box we have under there. He tripped on Joe's foot and hit his head. Joe picked him up and tried to comfort the panicked screams and cries. Only then did he realize that Jacob had split his eyebrow on the box. We were trying to clean it up with a wash cloth when Joe realized that Jacobs newly aquired slit was in the exact same spot of Joe's from one of his accidents. So, what do caring parents that are trying to soothe their child do? Take a picture. What else. So here is a picture of the incident.

Two more things. First, Jacob turned 18 months yesterday. I can't believe it. It is crazy that it was a year and a half ago that he came into our family. He is such and absolute joy and blessing in our lives. Here are some things that has been up to lately.
  • Opening doors.
  • Talking ALL the time (which I love)

  • Playing by himself
  • Running. And when I say running, I mean sprinting around everywhere he goes!
  • Eats with utensiles...finally.

  • Eats EVERYTHING in his path.

  • Runs on his tiptoes. Which is really funny to watch.

  • Loves Barney. Still.

  • His absolute favorite thing is to be outside.

  • Hates most vegetables. Thanks Joe.

  • Will take whatever Joe's drinking over anything else.

  • LOVES to give/blow kisses

I was changing his diaper and this is how he stayed the entire time. I couldn't help but take a picture.

And lastly, we tried something new for dinner. It is called Pork Kabobs with Grilled Plums and Couscous. Before we would never have even looked at it. But I decided to try something new and it was sooooo good. I didn't think I would like the plums but I did. A lot. So did Joe and Jacob. Which surprised me. Here is a picture. If you want the recipe, just let me know!
