1. Hot Chocolate or Apple Cider?
Easy one! Hot chocolate. But I have to be pretty cold to drink it. I'm not much of a hot drink person.
2. Turkey or Ham?
Ham. I can only eat turkey once a year on Thanksgiving and then I'm done. But I can eat ham all year round!
3. Do you get a fake or real-you-cut-it-yourself Christmas tree?
I have a fake tree - it's a long story, but because of all the grief it's caused me, I will keep it forever - besides, it's a pretty fake tree... :0)
4. Decorations on the outside of your house?
Sadly, I'm way too lazy to do that. Our Christmas tree is in front of our big front window, so I figure you can see it from outside do that counts!
5. Snowball fights or sleddin’?
Sledding. Snowball fights can get nasty really quick.
6. Do you enjoy going downtown shopping?
I honestly haven't really done that. But it seems fun to do.
7. Favorite Christmas song?
So many to choose from. I would have to say Silent Night or Breath of Heaven. But there are so many good ones and new ones coming out
8. How do you feel about Christmas movies
Love love love them! My favorites are It's A Wonderful Life and a Muppet's Christmas Carol. But I love them.
9. When is it too early to start listening to Christmas music?
Never. I start right after Halloween. But why limit songs about love and Christ to just 1 month of the year?
10. Stockings before or after presents?
Before. Then get to the bigger stuff.
11. Go to someone else’s house or they come to you?
It just depends. We always meet together at my mom and dad's house. But with Joe's family, we rotate. I like it either way. If I go somewhere else, I don't have to worry about cleaning, but if they come here, I don't have to worry about traveling. It's a win-win.
12. Do you read the Christmas Story? If so when?
Usually Christmas Eve. But Jacob is too little to really know what is going on. So I like to read it by myself or with Joe the night before Christmas.
13. What do you do after presents and dinner?
Enjoy each others company and visit. Eat!
14. What is your favorite holiday smell?
Pine, cinnamon, and peppermint. But not all together.
15. Ice skating or walking around the mall?
Never been ice skating. But I always enjoy a good walk.
16. Do you open a present or presents on Christmas Eve, or wait until Christmas day?
We open one present on Christmas Eve. This year I am making pajamas for all of us.
17. Favorite Christmas memory?
I have so many good memories growing up, but I think the funniest is when I entered a drawing when I was about 7-8 I think at some random store during the holidays and won. I won a small stair vacuum. Now I am having awesome memories with Jacob getting older and getting excited about what is going on! I love it!
18. Favorite Part about winter?
The pretty snow, right as it is falling.
19. Ever been kissed under mistletoe?
Oh la la. Of course!
And to end this Christmas Cheer post, a few pictures!
A plate I made to set out on Christmas Eve with yummy goodies on it!

We had our ward party last night and this special person showed up. Jacob was so excited to talk to him. Then he actually got up there and refused to sit on his lap. Santa gave him a candy cane and Jacob decided it was okay to talk to him. He was asked what he wants for Christmas and he blurted out "A BIG BUZZ LIGHT YEAR!" He is so excited! He hasn't stopped talking about it since!

Hi Val!
I love your meme! It's so fun to find out things that you had not idea about! Like hot drinks and no snowball fights!! I don't like snowball fights either. Once when I was little, a mean boy threw a snowball at me that had a rock in it. It made a huge goose-bump on my head (now wonder I'm crazy!). It was so bad that they held and assembly that morning at school - I had to stand in front of everyone and show them my goose-bump!! The mean boy got in a lot of trouble!!
Jacob is so cute - what a fun memory for you to look back on! I know that Christmas morning will be so fun with him (and Joe!) this year. Love you!
