Fourth of July Weekend

Sadly, the only picture I took was of a cake I made. But if you want to see that, check out my cooking blog. It was a fun filled weekend with lots of good food! We started it off with fireworks with my parents neighborhood. It's been a tradition for since I can remember, but I love it. Joe was the hit of the show, with the best fireworks. But then again, not that many people participated. But it was still fun. And Jacob LOVED the bright colors and things exploding! Then Saturday, we got woken up by a fired truck blaring outside our house. We about had a heart attack thinking our house was on fire. Until we heard the PA "Fireman's breakfast, pancakes, eggs, sausage!" I wanted to throw something at it! Luckily, Jacob slept through it. And they do it every year. Now we know! Then we had lunch with my family. A lot of relaxing! Then we "watched" the fireworks on the t.v. But it just isn't the same! So we just went to bed early. Sunday we spent with Joe's family. A mix of 4Th of July celebration, Tianna's birthday, and saying bye to Ernesto, who is doing training for truck driving for the next 3 months! It was a blast. Jacob slept so good after such a long weekend. We are so lucky to be living in such an amazing country. We are so blessed and thankful for all those we owe for our freedom. Since I didn't take pictures, hopefully this silly one will do. I love this kid!
