Mexico Part 2!!

I was able to celebrate my birthday in Mexico and it was fantastic! We went on a tour of Acapulco and went to a cliff divers show.  The whole thing was amazing!

This was my breakfast! A yogurt/fruit crepe! Delicious!

The view of Acapulco bay, when you look up Acapulco, this is usually the view you see.

The whole day was just magical.  The weather was fantastic and the views were gorgeous!

This is the big 128 ft cross that you can see from almost any point in old Acapulco.  It is up at the chapel of peace.
Getting ready for the cliff divers show.  You can't really tell, but the flag is the highest point they jump off of and it is 131 feet!

The divers are climbing down the cliff to get ready.  Again, it is hard to see, but they are in the spot light.

At the restaurant we ate at and watched the show, it used to be a HUGE celebrity hang out.  All through the 50s and 60s. They have several walls that have signatures carved into them.  We didn't know many but we did find a couple!
Jacob was most excited about this one!
At the end of the day, who doesn't make sand angels in their mismatched pajamas?

The pictures are a bit mixed up, but this was on our tour. That is a termite nest.  It is one of their biggest problems in their jungles.

 In the chapel of peace.
I had to include this one just because this is Owen's regular face when you tell him to smile for a picture!
The view from the Chapel of Peace.

 Acapulco bay from another angle.

This is at a flea market.  They found out it was my birthday so they insisted on a picture with heavy wool shawls (which were so heavy and hot!) and sombreros!  Owen is dancing with his maraca!

The street art there.  It is made from shells and glass.  It was amazing!

Old Acapulco.  There are 2 million people in the old part.
Sorry, it keeps jumping around.  This is back at the cliff diving.  A family shot!

Had to catch a selfie with the beautiful sunset.
