Where I Have Been (Sneak peek at basement remodel)

So, these last few months I have been MIA for the most part.  Our house was verging on unlivable.  Our basement was being redone.  But since we have been living with stuff in the basement for the last 5 years, all of the at stuff had to go somewhere.  Which was our kitchen and laundry room and storage room.  The 3 rooms that I need.  Desperately.  Well, IT'S DONE!!  Here is a little sneak peek at what we did to tide you over until I get some decent pictures of the completed project.  We have one tiny little project left upstairs (that may or may not get done) but other than that, I told Joe we are done with projects in this house!


BEFORE: Cluttered.  The bar did nothing to enlarge the already narrow, small room.  The boxed in light made it so we could only really see anything directly below it. We had a pellet stove that we didn't use. Ever.  So we got rid of that along with the paneling and light.  See for yourself the HUGE difference it made!

 AFTER:  Can lights through out the basement and bar gone makes it so much brighter and open.  We got rid of the wood paneling which opens the walls up and makes the room seem bigger.

 This was the wall where our fireplace was.  I couldn't believe the difference this made.  And we did all of the rooms down there, except for the storage room .  No sense in it.  The rest of the before and afters will be coming soon.
