Jacob Turns 6!

He really did.  I still can't believe it.  When did he get so big?  I am a little late on posting this, but his birthday was on February 19th.  He is ready for all day school, which he reminds me of constantly.  He is ready to be a big kid and eat at school and play with his friends that are older than him.  He absolutely LOVES school and learning, but like the rest of us, wants a break once in a while.  He told me the other day (during one of these times when he wasn't so fond of school) that Sunday is his favorite day because there is no school.  Crazy kid!  He is super smart!  He is really quick to pick things up, like his sight words and sounds and letters.  He is reading sentences and is so proud when he does!  He is tall and skinny (you could tell that just by looking at him).  It is hard to find pants that fit for long.  They usually turn into capris before he has worn them enough.  We have to tell him to look at his ankles before he leaves anywhere.  If he can see his ankles he has to change.  He is energetic and ALWAYS on the go.  And by that, I mean he always has to be doing something.  I wonder where he gets that, Joe...He learned to ride a bike without training wheels this past spring and really mastered it last summer.  He zooms around on that thing.  Good thing for helmets and tough kids!  He is the BEST big brother.  Nobody can get Owen to laugh quite like Jacob.  He loves his role as brother and takes it very seriously.  He has told me before that he will beat up anyone that makes fun of Owen.  As big as Owen is, I don't think Jacob will have to worry about that!  It might be the other way around!  Jacob, you are one fantastic boy!  We are the luckiest parents in the world!

Letting us know he turned 6!

He woke up to a room full of balloon and you better believe this was the first thing he did!
 Matchy!
I then walked into his room to this that night.  Thanks Joe!
Oh the things you can do with balloons!
 My construction worker!
At his checkup, being a pirate!!
And finally being a fantastic big brother!

I can't believe my little Jacob is 6 years old either. I love this sweet guy. He has always been so loving and sweet and I love the energy he has because between that and his smile he makes the room light up. I love you Jacob!!
