Our Weekend

We had quite the weekend. I had a Camp Rebekah (which is a Laurel's retreat type thing in our stake) that is over night at a cabin in Island Park.  At the last minute, Joe got invited to go to a Jazz game.  So Jacob go to spend the night at Grandma and Grandpa Hillman's house.  He had a blast.  Then the next day, Joe took Jacob to the kid's fair.  Jacob LOVED it.

Here are a few things that I learned/remembered while at Camp Rebekah.

  • The youth are spoiled.  Seriously, almost all of them have nice phones than I do, and they can't go 2 seconds without them.  I kinda wish they would have disconnected the service while we were there.  Maybe the girls would have paid attention.
  • At the same time, the youth are also great.  There were the few that you know, just know, that they will be just fine in this world, because of their faith in the gospel.
  • Our leaders/priesthood are truly called and chosen of God.
And now some pictures:

Joe's seats at the game.  Anyone else jealous!?

Jacob's favorite part of the whole thing.  He got to ride a pony!
And of course, a Spider-man face!

Val, I have to agree 100% with you about the youth. Our youth are also SOOOO spoiled, not only by their parents but by us (not by choice) I could go on and on about all the things and money we give to the youth. Crazy!! Joe had awesome seats!! I think I saw you driving the other day. Did you guys get a new car? It was a white SUV.
