Park City

For Father's day weekend, me an my friend planned a little get away for the hubbies.  It was a big mess! But it turned out great.  We were originally going to go to Moab, but apparently it is like 110 degrees average and too hot for riding, then it was Colorado, then northern Idaho, and then Colorado again, and then ended up Park City, Utah.   It was a blast! The Hotel we booked had a glitch and over booked by 40 rooms. So they upgraded us.  We got moved to the Hyatt Escala.  And it was not the $70 we paid for our original hotel! After getting there we looked up our room and it was $270 I think a night.  Seriously, the nicest hotel we have EVER stayed in.  And probably ever will.  Dang. If you want to see it go HERE.  We also rode on the Alpine Coaster and slide. Super fun.  I recommend it to anyone going that direction!  Here are our pictures.

It isn't a very good one, but this is the slide. You sit on these little board things with brakes and ride down the mountain.
The bad part. In order to get to the slide, you had to ride ski lifts.  I HATED this part. I couldn't look down because I swore we were going to fall off. And it went SO SLOW! At one point, Jacob said, "mom, let go of me!" Apparently,  I was gripping his arm, like he was going to save me!

The coaster. You ride up the mountain and then ride fast down.
Joe and Jacob in front of me.
 On the way.
Up the mountain. It took a while, but was way better than the ski lift!

It was so bright and warm! Poor kid probably couldn't see!

In our hotel bathroom, they had two pictures. And they were the exact same. I thought it was pretty funny.

Hi Val!

Wow - an upgrade, and what a beautiful hotel!! Looks like you had a really fun time - isn't it wonderful to get away?! I also loved the Jackson Hole pictures - so beautiful, you should have some of those framed . . . seriously!!
