Girl's Trip

Joe recently went to Moab on a dirt bike trip.  He had a blast and no one was hurt! Thank goodness!  So, since they were going somewhere, a few of us decided to go down to Salt Lake for a little girls trip.  It was me, my sister and my friend Angie.  It was a blast, but I think we need a redo.  It was just one problem after another!  First, our hotel was a mess!  Like, we are pretty sure that someone was killed there.  There was a trail of something red leading all the way down the cement steps from our room.  And we thought there was a bullet in our room. Turned out to be a purple crayon. But in the shadows, it totally looked like it!!  And the hotel ran out of toilet paper.  Completely. Seriously, who does that?

So after finding another hotel, we drove around looking for somewhere to eat. The car started making funny noises.  It sounded like something was rattling around in the engine. Not usually a good sound. So after talking for hours with our husbands they thought it best not to drive it around. What were we supposed to do now?  So the next day, after 5 hours of waiting for a decision on whether or not the guys were going to come rescue us, and waiting for 1 1/2 hours for the towing guy to get there, a decision was made.  The guys were coming, but about 4 hours away.  So we walked down town to the Gateway mall.  What better to than go shopping?

Michelle had to be back for an interview the next morning, and the guys weren't going to be back in time to pack us up, fix the car and drive home. So she went home on the shuttle. I felt so bad! I think that alone constitutes a weekend redo!  But we were able to take blankets that we had made to Primary Children's Hospital.  It took all I had to send all of them. There were 2 of them that I really wanted to keep just in case, but then thought why do I need them? There are kids now that could use them way worse than I could. Sadly, the only pictures I got were of the blankets before I left.  No pictures of anything fun or cool.  Maybe next time!

My favorite one!
