Joe's Birthday and Valentine's Day

Joe's birthday was on the 12th, and obviously, Valentine's day was the 14th. They are so close that we don't usually do anything for Valentine's day, just Joe's birthday. It works out great! I am so lucky to have the best person in the world! He is mine forever! I saw this on someone's blog and wanted to do it also! It is fun and doesn't have to be done during Valentine's day. It can be anytime!

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
*We have been together for 5 1/2 years (that includes dating)

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story)
We met in a single's branch. We spoke together in sacrament meeting and he made a bet with his friend that if we got out early from sacrament meeting early, that he would take me on a date. So he did. He set the date for that Friday, called on Wednesday saying that he didn't want to wait until then, so we went out before. 4 dates in a week. That was a record for me! The rest is history!

3. If married, how long have you been married?
5 years in April

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?
We got married in the Idaho Falls Temple. To be honest, I don't totally remember how many people came...oops!

5. Do you have any nicknames that you call one another?
Joe calls me Val or Sweetie. He is Joe. He isn't too keen on being called anything but.

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
1. Loving and considerate father and husband
2. Treats me like a queen (can't go wrong with that!)
3. Wonderful provider and protector!

7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?
He took me for a drive and stopped at the Rexburg temple, which was just being built. We walked around and he stopped and dropped on his knee and proposed. It was perfect!

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?
He is a do the dishes kind of guy. And that is saying a lot because he HATES the dishs! And I wouldn't change it for the world!

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Relax, without a doubt!

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
I would love to go back to Georgia where he grew up. I would love to see the places and things that made him in to the person he is today.

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
Since it is already passed, I will tell what we did. I had mutual. He did the dishes for me. We ate cheesecake after Jacob went to bed.

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
Nope.

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
NEVER go to bed angry at each other. That is the advice we got the most from people. And they weren't lying!
