"Don't save something for a special occasion. Everyday of your life is a special occasion."
-Thomas S. Monson
Ironically, the past couple of days, I'd been thinking about that. Just in the last little while Jacob has seemed to grow up SO much! He is becoming a little boy and is completely out of the toddler stage. It makes me sad, but also makes me want to savor everything he is doing and learning. It makes me want to teach him all that I can everyday so that he doesn't miss out on anything!
Also, for my birthday one of my favorite ladies, Yvonne Smith, sent me a crocheted bookmark that is BEAUTIFUL! I got it and immediately wanted to keep it in a safe place so that it didn't get ruined. And right after thinking that, I made up my mind that I will use that book mark everyday! That isn't why she made it and sent it. She didn't want it to be sitting there gathering dust and not being used. It is a special occasion bookmark, and everyday is a special occasion.
It is funny how fast time goes by. It really seems like yesterday Joe and I were getting married, or that Jacob was born. Now we have been married for 4 wonderful years and have an amazing child! Enjoy the little things and savor the special occasions everyday. Because before you know it, this will become
this! And it is fantastic!

Hi Val!
Wow! I have really been out of touch! Happy late birthday!!
I can't believe how big Jacob is getting - they grow up soooo fast!
I love the advise from Pres. Monson - we need to use the things we love, and not store them away!
Joe is so talented! I need him at my house - I have so many projects that need to be finished and started! Cute pictures - you are a good photographer. If you have the same camera as me, you will have to teach me some tricks!
Hugs and Love,
Barb
